Services for Rosalie May Chancy, 30, of Caldwell, who died Friday, July 29, 1988, of injuries in a Boise automobile accident, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, at the Dakan Funeral Chapel. Caldwell. The Rev. Jim Hardenbrook of the First Christian Church, Caldwell, well, will officiate. Burial will follow in Canyon Hill Cemetery. Caldwell. Rosalie was born March 21, 1958, at Nyssa, Ore., to Horace and Angeline Gifford Chancy. She lived near Adrian, Ore., until moving to Caldwell in 1973. She received a diploma upon her graduation from Caldwell High School. She was currently attending the Community Training Program of Caldwell. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Caldwell; and the Girl Scouts of America. Rosalie had competed in local, state and international Special Olympics competition, winning several medals and trophies. Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Angeline Chancy of Caldwell; four brothers, David Chancy in Texas, Dallas Chancy of Kuna, Jim Chancy of Boise and Sam Chancy of Caldwell; three sisters, Bernice Kadel and Shirley Jensen, both of Caldwell, and Lynn Graham of Albany, Ore.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her father, two sisters and a brother died earlier. Rosalie's enthusiasm for life and her concern for others was an inspiration to many.
