Tim was the son of Lottie (Sanders) Tranum and Jack Tranum. He was the husband of Barbara Atchley Tranum and the father of Sarah Evangeline Tranum Hildebrand, Rachel Elizabeth Tranum McCready, Amy Eudaily Bright and Jennifer Eudaily Stone. He was the brother of Larry Jack Tranum and Janet Tranum. His brother Larry preceded him in death.
Tim graduated from Midland High School in 1970. He earned a bachelor's degree from San Angelo State University and a master's degree from Oral Roberts University. He was an ordained minister and was the pastor of Town and Country Christian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma for a few years. He worked at JVA Operating Company in Midland, Texas from about 1997 until his death.
