Born in Lafollette [La Follette], Tenn., she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Miller. She was a graduate of Tuomey Hospital School of Nursing. She and her late husband had run the George H. Hurst and Sons Funeral Home for a number of years.
Surviving are a daughter, Miss Stella E. Hurst of Atlanta, Ga.; a son, Craig M. Hurst of Sumter; two sisters, Mrs. Hans V. Becker of Miami, Fla., and Mrs. Walter Ricker of California; and two brothers, Virgil R. and Dewey Ellis Miller of California.
