Orlando Allen passed away at his
home three miles south of Bigelow,
Kansas on Sunday, March 10, 1895.
He was 52 years, 5 months and 1
day of age.
Mr. Allen was born in 1842, in
Marshall county, Illinois.
In 1857 he moved to Iowa, in 1861
he enlisted in the army and was
discharge in 1865.
He had been a resident near Irving,
Marshall county, Kansas for several
years.
He was the father of ten children by
his first wife, and four children by
his second wife who survives him.
Funeral services were held at the
Christian church at Bigelow, Kansas
on Monday, March 11th with Elder
Bennett in charge of the services.
Burial was in the Irving cemetery.
