She was the former Ethel Murphy, a native of Charlestown, Indiana, a retired employee of Hillerich and Bradsby Co., a former employee of Kingfish Restaurant and Kentucky School for the Blind and a member of East Baptist Church.
Survivors: a daughter, Nancy Grider; two sons, James H. and Samuel L. Allen; three sisters, Gladys Winters of Eminence, Mary Frances Mattingly and Pearl Hardin; three brothers, Raymond Murphy of Smithfield and William and David Murphy; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday, Neurath & Underwood Funeral Home, 725 E. Market St. Burial: Eastern Cemetery. Visitation: 2-9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Sunday.
