Vivian W. Alexander, 83, of Daytona Beach, Fla., formerly of Indiana, died Friday, March 28, 2003, in Daytona Beach.

She was born Aug. 3, 1919, in Purchase Line, the daughter of Jesse and Annie May Ferrier. Mrs. Alexander had been a resident of Indiana until 1976 when she moved to Daytona Beach. She was retired from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and enjoyed taking care of her home and children. She attended the Daytona Beach Church of God and the Oasis Christ Fellowship Church, Ormond Beach, Fla. Surviving are her husband, Wellington (Bud) Alexander; a daughter, Karen Cassell, and her husband, Anthony, Ormond Beach, Fla .; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; two children: Donald W., and Gloria M. Alexander; two sisters: Geneva Fyock and Blanch Ferrier; and three brothers: Leroy, Paul and Ray Ferrier.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Arnold Wise officiating. Interment will follow in the East Mahoning Cemetery.
