Benjamin C. "Ben" Miller, 72, of Carpenter passed away at his home Jan. 14 surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Miller was born Dec. 30, 1941, in Johnson County, Iowa, a son of the late Clifford B. and Annie Miller.

Ben worked as a carpenter all of his life. He enjoyed visiting with people about the Lord and touching their souls. He was very active in the High Prairie Mennonite Church and prison ministry. His contributions to the maintenance of the church and school will be dearly missed.

He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather, and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Ben is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Ida Miller; nine children, Doretta Druist and husband Nolan of Three Springs, Penn., Virginia Zehr and husband Philip of Croghan, N.Y., Silas Miller of Elmore, Minn., Mary Miller of Cheyenne, John Miller of Williston, N.D., Anna Burkholder and husband Dale of Cheyenne, Susie Rissler and husband Tim of Carpenter, Jolene Miller of Auburn, Ky., and Clarence Miller of Laramie; and 12 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Adin Miller.
