(Mary Helen Binzel)
Mary Helen Binzel was born 11 December 1913, in Beaver Dam WI. After working several years with her brother for the Marshfield Canning Company, she entered the Visitation Monastery in November 1953 and received the name of Mary Immaculata.
Sr Mary Immaculata started the School book store and for many years served the community as typist, chauffeur, shopper, and portress/receptionist. In later years, Sister could be seen wearing her dark glasses and driving her red mobilized "Cadillac."
Sr Mary Immaculata, age 93, on Holy Saturday, 7 April 2007. Her life was celebrated with a Mass of Christian Burial, on Thursday, 12 April 2007, in the Monastery Chapel. Interment followed in Resurrection Cemetery.
She is preceded in death by parents and two brothers. Survived by 2 nieces and a nephew, her visitation community, and many friends of the Twin Cities and of Marshfield WI.
