Becker, Edra L. (Rusty), 87, passed away on May 28, 2013. She was born on November 9, 1925 in Braman, Oklahoma to Mary and Arthur Kemp. She came to Wichita in 1943 to attend Wesley School of Nursing as part of the Cadet Nurse Corps, graduating in 1946. She married Robert Becker in 1951 and was married to him for 57 years until his death in 2008. Her interests were centered on home and family. She liked to sew, garden, read and watch basketball games. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Florence and Evelyn, infant daughter Nancy, and her beloved husband, Robert. She is survived by her daughters Mary Becker and Cathy (Scott) Stroud, son Ron Becker, grandson Jonathan (Brandee) Young, granddaughter Jennifer (Deacon) Gowan, and great-grandchildren Peyton, Landon, Isaac, Mariah, Britney, Grant, and Gabrielle. Edra loved and worried more about others than herself and was always willing to listen. Mom, you will always be remembered with love by your family. Funeral service is 10:00 am Saturday, June 1st at Resthaven Mortuary.
