Eugene Muchowski, age 80, of 1216 S. 24th St., Manitowoc died Friday morning, Aug. 25, 2006, at Kindred Hearts, Manitowoc.

Eugene was born Aug. 22, 1926, in Manitowoc, son of the late Mathias and Constance (Zigmund) Muchowski. He graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1944. Eugene was a veteran, serving with the United States Navy. On May 10, 1952, he married the former Vivian Kloida at Holy Innocents Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on Nov. 20, 1995. Eugene was employed with the Manitowoc Public Utilities for many years until his retirement in 1988. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi, Manitowoc.

Survivors include six children: Debbie (Rudie) Zimmer, Manitowoc, their children, Kara (Rich) Stasik and their children, Bryce, Kim Zimmer and Nick Zimmer; Mark (Sue) Muchowski, Ashwaubenon, their children Alissa Muchowski, Angela Mohr, her daughter Rylee; Neil Muchowski and his fiancee Donna Liberty, Missouri, and his children, Ryan and Kristin; Alan (Shelley) Muchowski, Manitowoc, their children, Jennifer, Jessica and Cristofer; Jan (John) Sadusky, Minneapolis, their son, Grant; Eric (Kelly) Muchowski, Minneapolis, their children, Samantha and William. He is further survived by a sister and brother-in-law: Ruth and Arnold Bodart, Manitowoc; one sister-in-law: Marion Muchowski, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by one brother: Harold Muchowski.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 28, 2006, at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, Manitowoc.

Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Jim VandenHogan. Cremation has occurred with burial of the cremated remains at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery at a later date.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, Manitowoc, from 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 28, 2006, until the time of service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flower, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
