Tony "Brush" DeBastiani, 75, of Masontown, beloved husband, father and grandfather, died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2002, at his home.

He was born July 8, 1927, in Bretz, son of the late Antonio and Antonia DeBastiani.

He was retired from Consolidated Coal Company and was a member of UMWA Local 1058. He was also an avid golfer.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Norma Forsythe DeBastiani; a daughter and spouse, Andrea and Steven Drake, of Morgantown; two sons and a spouse, Anthony DeBastiani, of Masontown, Randy and Kate DeBastiani, of Kingwood; eight grandchildren, Summer DeBastiani, Brittany Drake and Randy DeBastiani Jr., all of Morgantown, Audis DeBastiani, of Arthurdale, Andrew, Ellen, Mabel and Olivia DeBastiani, all of Kingwood; a brother and spouse, Mario and Kathryn DeBastiani, of Arthurdale; three sisters and a spouse, Mary Taylor, of Masontown, Patty Jo Killian, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Clara and Nick DeBardi, of Lynnwood, Wash.; a sister-in-law, Doris Sisler, of Masontown; caretaker Beulah Gamble and family, of Masontown.

Friends may call at the Waldeck Funeral Home in Masontown on Tuesday, Nov. 5, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., and Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., with a Christian Wake Service at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, Nov. 7, at 11 a.m. at St. Zita's Catholic Church, Masontown, with Father Vincent Seqotta officiating. Burial will be in the Masontown Cemetery.
