Erik was born on August 17, 1994 in Summerville, SC, son of Edward Peter Simao and Barbara Alvestad Simao of Summerville, SC. He graduated from Ashley Ridge High School in 2012. Erik was an avid Clemson fan and at his request, he would like that everyone who attends his visitation or service, to wear Clemson attire. He taught everyone to live life to the fullest and to believe.
Surviving in addition to his parents are one sister, Bianca Ann Simao Moon of CT; one brother, Anthony Michael Simao of CT; maternal grandparents, Edward and Deborah Alvestad of CT; aunts and uncles, Dave & Michelle Violette of CT, Andre & Tracie Rossignol of CT, Janice Alvestad Lombard of CT, Gil & Dena Ferrell of NC, Anthony Simao of FL, James & Gloria Simao of CT; nephews, Cameron & Mitchell Moon of CT; nieces, Abigail & Ella Simao of CT; and a host of cousins.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Anthony & Blanche Simao.
