Final services will be held Friday for James Herbert, 76, of Hillsboro who passed away Tuesday at the local hospital following a three-week illness.
Born in 1878, he was a resident here for the past seven years after formerly residing in Eugene. He was connected with the logging industry for many years.
Survivors include a son, Lloyd A., of Hillsboro; two sisters, Mrs. Millie Rice of Olympia, Wash., and Mrs. Alpha Sweet of Elmira, Ore., and two brothers, John R. of Veneta, Ore., and Ellis of Hillsboro.
Services will be conducted at the Sunset chapel of Donelson and Sewell at 1:30 p.m. with interment at Fir lawn cemetery. Rev. Ivan Correll will officiate.
