Ben Vimont used a panel delivery truck, a lot like a UPS truck only smaller, in his plumbing business. He could live in this truck on the job if necessary. He was going to Portland to attend a reunion of his wife's family. It was a hot day and he was driving with the door open. He was rear ended by a freight truck. Ben was thrown out of the truck and the vehicle landed on top of him and he was killed.
..Ben thought burials were a waste of land so he requested to be cremated, which his family did. Later they buried his ashes with Anna.
..Daughter Mary stated Ben's given name was Benjamin Franklin but he disliked that name so much he dropped the Franklin. Son Mark thought his name was William.
