Roscoe Stanley Baker was born May 9, 1904, in Holstein, Nebraska, the son of Madison and Ida (Bates) Baker. He graduated from high school and from college, where he received his degree in Dentistry. He married Matilda Pauline Hansen on May 25, 1928, in Sidney, Nebraska. Together they lived in Lincoln and Sidney, Nebraska, then moved to Denver, Colorado and later to Minneapolis, Minnesota. Matilda preceded him in death on December 13, 1976.
Surviving are one daughter, Marlene (Thomas) Thurston of Minneapolis, MN; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sisters, Ruth Krepela and Thelma Spearow, one brother, Ulysses Baker and one nephew, Richard Spearow.
