Obituary:
Claude D. Johnston, a 61 year old Princeton resident and a veteran of World War I, dropped dead yesterday afternoon in the Bluefield American Legion Hall as he stood in line to apply for his West Virginia veterans bonus benefits. A resident of Princeton since 1900, Johnston was among a large group of veterans of both world wars who were filing applications for the state bonus. He had filled out most of the papers and dropped to the floor just as he was being handed the final application forms. Doctors said he died of a heart attack.
