Yolanda Raye Kucera, 31, of 404 W. 10th died Monday, July 26, 1999, at the St. Francis Memorial Health Center Skilled Care Unit.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. Envoy Jim Tooley of the Salvation Army will officiate. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the family.

Miss Kucera was born on Dec. 10, 1967, in Grand Island to Larry and Betty (Dexter) Kucera. She attended Howard and Dodge elementary schools and graduated from Grand Island Senior High in 1986.

She loved animals and had planned to be a veterinarian until contracting Huntington's disease. She spent 11 years in the nursing home. Her grandmother, Phyllis Korth, cared for her during this time.

Survivors include a sister, Teresa Burton of Grand Island; and her grandmother, Phyllis Korth.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandfather, Donald L. Dexter.
