Michael Novak, 53, of 719 S. 15th St., Manitowoc, died at 7:30 a.m. Monday at his home after a heart attack.

Funeral services are tentatively set for Thursday, pending word of arrival of his son from Germany where he is stationed with the U.S. Army. Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is making arrangements.

Mr. Novak was born March 8, 1908, at Manitowoc, son of the late Theodore and Minnie Mrotek Novak. A life-long resident of Manitowoc, he attended St. Mary Parochial School and later attended St. Bonaventure College for four years at St. Bonaventure, N.Y. He had been employed at Manitowoc Shipbuilding Inc. for a number of years.

Survivors include a son, Specialist Four Harry J. Novak, stationed with the Army in Germany; four sisters, Mrs. John C. Weina, Mrs. Francis C. Mrotek, Mrs. Norman V. Korinek and Mrs. Edward J. Korinek, of Manitowoc, and several nieces and nephews.
