Mrs. Katherine Orchekowski, 74, of 1233 S. 10th St. Manitowoc, died Tuesday night at the Holy Family Hospital after a short illness.

Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Friday at the Leschke Funeral Home in Manitowoc and at 9 a.m. Friday at the St. Mary Catholic church in Manitowoc, with Rev. John Landowski officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Orchekowski was born April 4, 1881, in Kewaunee, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Knipp. She moved to Manitowoc at the age of 13 and was married to George Orchekowski in 1900. He preceded her in death 13 years ago. She was a member of the Rosary and Altar societies of the St. Mary Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Delphine Glischinski of Manitowoc; five sons, Theodore of New Holstein, Frank, Harry, Arthur of Manitowoc and Jeff of Milwaukee; 12 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral home after Thursday noon. The Rosary will be recited at 2 p.m. Thursday by the Rosary Society and at 7 p.m. by the Knights of Columbus.
