THOMAS OSESEK

(1855 - 1938)


Thomas Osesek, 82, died last night at the home of his son, Harry, 1225 South 22nd street, with whom he resided. He had been ill the past four years.


Funeral services will be held Saturday at 8:30 a.m. from the Harry Osesek home and at nine o'clock from the St. Mary's church. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.


Mr. Osesek was born in Poland in 1855 and married Miss Anna Glysch there. Fifty years ago they came to Manitowoc. Mrs. Osesek died four years ago, since which time Mr. Osesek made his home with his son.


Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Anton Novak, Mrs. Adam Mrotek and Mrs. Jule Wergin, all of this city; five sons, Felix, Harry, Thomas Jr., and John, all of this city, Joseph, New York city; 25 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.


The body will be moved to the Osesek home on South 22nd street Thursday noon from the Shimek & Schwartz funeral home.
