Margaret was a kind and loving no-nonsense woman with a distinct laugh that left no doubt who it came from. Fortunately for her family, we heard that laugh many times. She had a lot of love to give, and she was easy to love in return. She was authentic, but didn't take herself too seriously, and she had a lot of spunk. When she was 90, during a visit with two grandsons, she said she wanted to ride on a blimp when she turned 100. But there would be no more birthdays to celebrate; a few weeks later she was gone. A long and well-lived life came to an end in the Spring of 2013, quietly at home in Portland, Oregon. She was laid to rest between her husband and her son Larry, and she will remain a pleasant memory to many who were fortunate enough to know her.
Thank you, Grandma, for everything, and most of all, for just being you. It was enough, and it was more than enough.
