Christine was born in Julitia, Sweden a daughter of Anders Olson and Anna Prince. Her early childhood was spent in a home by the sea, her father being a fisherman. Her father died while Christine was young, so she was sent to live with a family friend, Lady Okerstein. There she learned to card and spin wool, to weave and also to be a seamstress.

After joining the LDS church she left for Zion in 1864. Arriving in Salt Lake City, not knowing anyone, she was sent to live with the Robert Bodily family in Kaysville.

She became the polygamist wife of Robert Bodily in 1865. They had four children: Ann Elizabeth, born March 15, 1866; Daniel, born June 29, 1868: Phineas, born Oct. 29,1870; Mary Eleanor, born June 29, 1873.

She passed away Oct. 12,1916 and is buried in the Kaysville Cemetery next to Robert Bodily and his first wife Jane Pittam Bodily.
