She was born on 31 May 30 1894 in Lawrence County, Ohio, a daughter of William Henry Kingery and Nancy Katherine Callicoat Kingery. She married Christopher Biars Sr. in 1933 in Gallia County.
According to a niece, Selby Ann Manley, Mrs. Biars lived in "Shoe String Ridge in Gallia County. One thing I remember about my aunt is that she made delicious chicken dumplings from scratch. She had very poor vision due to tobacco dust thrown in her face when she was younger."
Mrs. Biars was preceded in death by her father William in 1943, mother Nancy in 1970, and her husband Christopher Sr. and a son, Mittferd Ernest Kingery, both in 1973; three brothers, Lewis Calvin Kingery in 1934, Jasper Kingery, in 1973, Arnold Kingery in 1977; and sister Bessie Kingery, 7, who died in 1905 (Find A Grave Memorial# 95070991).
She was survived by son Chris Jr.; daughters Betty Maxine Meadows of Eureka, Thelma Darlene Folden and Nancy Lenora McGuire, both of Centenary, Ohio; 25 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; brothers John Kingery of Clarksville, Ohio, Floyd Kingery of Rt. 2, Bidwell, Ohio, and Gerald Kingery of Lecta, Ohio; and sisters Elizabeth Jane Comer of Gallipolis and Darlene Louise McKinney of Cheshire, Ohio.
Funeral services were held at Miller's Home for Funerals with Rev. George Jones officiating. Burial was in Mina Chapel Cemetery in Gallipolis. Pallbearers were Bill Biars, Wayne Warren, Vance Dray, Paul Beaver, William Bus Cromlish and Larry Kingery.
