A Child Found In The Well
On Sunday last a couple of boys discovered an infant in a well on the land belonging to Alonzo Teeters, about three miles southwest of this place. The boys were playing about the well at the time, and when one of them uncovered it, they saw the child in the water, and fished it out.
coroner report:
After having examined the body we do find that the deceased was a newborn infant, fully developed, and that it came to its death by neglect of its mother and at the hands of some person or persons to the jury unknown.
