Poet, author of the satirical 'Good Bath Guide' in 1766, telling the escapades of the fictional Blunderhead family. An influence on Tobias Smollett. Although buried atSt Swithin's, he has a memorial in Poet's Corner at Westminster Abbey.

English poet. Only son of Rev. Christopher Anstey of Brinkley, Cambridgeshire. Died age 81.
