Marine Lance Corp. Christopher M. McCrackin, LCPL US MARINE CORPS, of Liverpool, {Brazoria Co.} Tx, has wanted serve in the military since childhood. Christopher passed away while conducting combat operations against enemy forces during Operation Steel Curtain in New Ubaydi, Iraq supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was the son of Terry and Belinda McCrackin in Brownsville, TX. Christopher proudly served with the 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Division, Fox Company, 1st Platoon. He still has many close friends, considered family, in harms way supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. He joined the Marine Corps after 2004 graduation from Alvin High School, and has been in Iraq since July, 2005. Christopher married his high school sweetheart, Natalie Weaver October 23, 2004, and they have one son, Ethan, who survive him.Also survived by parents: Terry & Belinda McCrackin, twin brother, Michael, sister, Selene, and grandparents: William & Dori McCrackin & Natalio & Aurora Ramirez.
