Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Friday, January 24, 2014 at 11:00 am for Andrew Jude Abshire, 21, who died Tuesday, January 21, 2014 in an automobile accident in Lafayette, LA.
Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery #2 in Rayne, LA.
Rev. Garrett Savoie, associate pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, will conduct the funeral services. Associate pastor Randy Trahan of Northside Assembly of God will concelebrate the services.
Surviving are parents, Jude "Butch" Anthony Abshire and Cynthia Monceaux Abshire of Rayne, one daughter, Amelia Marie Roberts, one sister, Ashley Abshire Granger and husband Brennan of Rayne, one brother, Justin Abshire and wife Faith of Rayne, paternal grandmother, Linda Abshire, two aunts, Cathy Monceaux of Rayne, Angela Castillo and husband Ray of Rayne, two uncles, Chad "Humpty" Abshire and wife Leslie of Rayne, Cory Abshire and wife Christy of Mermentau.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, J.D. Monceaux and Marguerite Monceaux, paternal grandfather, Tony Abshire, two uncles, Terry Monceaux, Darryl Monceaux.
Andrew attended Northside Christian Academy, Crowley, LA and was graduate of Rayne High School, Rayne, LA. He was currently attending the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Andrew was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity.
