George Washington GEE, eighty-nine-year-old resident of eastern Greene County, died Wednesday morning at 4:30 o’clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. {Evert} LEHMAN, at Owensburg. He had been ill for the past year.
Mr. GEE was born July 9, 1849, the son of Garrett and Charlotte GEE. On June 26, 1869, he was married to Amanda COOPER. She passed away two years ago. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Charles H. DAVIS, of Bloomfield, and Mrs. LEHMAN; seven grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the LEHMAN home, Rev. J. L. HATFIELD officiating. Burial will be in the Owensburg Cemetery.
