The Cadiz Record obit posted 03 Aug 1988 reads as follows:

Mr. Joe B Clark, 86, of Cadiz, died at 3:15 am Monday, Aug. 1, 1988 at Shady Lawn Nursing Home following a short illness.

Born in Stewart County, TN, on Oct. 12, 1901, he was the son of the late Carlon and Jennie Harrell Clark. He was a member of the Linton Masonic Lodge No. 783. He was also a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.

Mr. Clark was a retired farmer, and worked at the Hopkinsville Pallet Company in Cadiz for 20 years.

Survivors include a son, Jack A Clark of Boonville, Indiana; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Hughes, Cadiz; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Goheen, Murray; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lucy Spiceland Clark on Feb. 7, 1970; his second wife, Evie Stallons Clark on April 25, 1985; and an infant son, Donald Clark in 1939.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 am Wednesday, August 3 at Goodwin Funeral Home. The Rev. Grandville Courtney will officiate and burial will follow in East End Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be members of the Linton Masonic Lodge No. 783.

Special music will be provided by Mrs. Carolyn Stallons, organist and the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Choir.

Friends may call at Goodwin Funeral Home after 4 pm Tuesday.
