Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Little Zion Baptist Church in Opelousas, LA for Mrs. Lucille Trahan Ballard, 81, who entered eternal rest on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Opelousas General Health System in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas, LA.
Lucille Ballard is survived by her husband of 56 years, Cabbot Ballard; three sons, Michael (Sylvia) Ballard, Darren (Erika) Ballard and Markham (Edith) Ballard, Sr.; four daughters, Monica Ballard Lamb, Phaedra (Samuel) Ballard Dinkins, Iris Ballard and Rhona Ballard; one sister, Philomena (Howard) Bond; 21 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, three special nieces, Shelia Chachere Haynes, Jimmie K. Porter and Anita Smith; three sisters-in-law, Sydalese B. Jackson and Lorainne B. Underwood and Loyce B. Greene.
