Glen Lawrence Robbins was born
Feb. 26, 1913, in Le Mars to George and
Grace Robbins. Glen attended and
graduated from Rembrandt School System
and lived most of his life in Buena
Vista County. In her early life, Glen
worked at Macks Cigar Store, was a
carpenter and then for Consumers Supply
Co., where he was a dedicated employee
for over 40 years, retiring in
1981.
On Jan. 2, 1934 Glen was united in
marriage to Gretta Gustafson. Two children
were born to this union, Beverly
and Betty. Gretta passed away in 1969.
On July 15, 1970 Glen was married to
Edith Schumann and they continued to
live in Storm Lake. They were members
of the Evangelical Free Church in Storm
Lake. Both Glen and Edith became residents
of Buena Vista Manor in July of
1992.
He was preceded in death by his
parents, his first wife, a stepson, a grandson-
in-law, brothers-in-law and several
aunts and uncles.
