Laurinda Denison Alexander, 89, loving wife and mother, stepped peacefully into Heaven on January 21, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, William Thomas Alexander, Jr. She is survived by her two children: Terry Lynn Alexander and Leigh Ann Alexander both of Memphis. She also leaves one grandchild, Cary William Alexander and one great grandson, Kayleb. Laurinda was originally from Beacon, TN but moved to Memphis with her husband in 1950. She was a longtime member of Wells Station Baptist Church and leaves many friends both at the church and in the community. Services in her honor will be 2 p.m. Saturday, January 25 at Family Funeral Care on Summer Avenue. Visitation will be 12:30 until service time at the funeral home. A visitation will also be Sunday, January 26, 1-2:30 p.m. at Parsons Mortuary in Parsons, Tennessee, with a burial to follow at Campground cemetery near Parsons. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorials be made to Wells Station Baptist Church, 1510 Wells Station Road, Memphis TN 38108.
