He was a plumber and a member of the First Baptist Church of Vidalia. He was a native of Emanuel County but had lived in Vidalia for 42 years.
Murchison Funeral Home of Vidalia is in charge.
Funeral services for Mr. Kemp will be held Thursday 3 p.m. in the Chapel of the Educational Building of the First Baptist Church with the Pastor O. L. Pedigo, Jr., officiating. Interment Pinecrest Cemetery. The following nephews will serve as pallbearers: Edwin Kemp, Preston Truett, Claude H. Kemp, Rene Kemp, Roy Joe Kemp and George Rollin Kemp. The body will remain in the chapel of the Murchsion Funeral Home in Vidalia and be place in the church one hour before services.
