Her Lord began weaving her into lives on December 5, 1935 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She graduated from Fairview High School in Dayton, Ohio in 1954 and met her husband, William Henry, in Plymouth, Michigan. She moved to Huntsville in 1958, her husband's hometown. Mrs. Bridges worked in banking for 47 years, rising to her favored role of Vice President of Banking Compliance. She locally worked at Bank of Huntsville, Colonial Bank, and retired from Bank Alabama in 2001. She became a devout follower of God in 1976 at Flint River Baptist Church. She is a member of Southside Baptist Church for the past 27 years. Mrs. Bridges treasures her son and daughter in law, her two granddaughters, supporting mission work, her Sunday School class, church friends, and her growth in the word of God through Community Bible Study Fellowship.
Mrs. Bridges husband Bill preceded her in death in January of 1964, well as her son Kevin Douglas in August 2011.
