Albert C. Dill, 75, of 1421 S. 13th St., Manitowoc, native of the Town of Newton, died today at his home following a long illness.
He was born Jan. 18, 1888, a son of the late Christian and Regina (Wagner) Dill. He went to Mott, N.D., at an early age and was a mail carrier there for more than 30 years.
His marriage to Stella Horner of Mott occurred Sept. 13, 1912. She preceded him in death March 20, 1945. He returned to Manitowoc in 1947, married Mrs. Esther Stock Dill, and they lived in the Town of Newton until 1949 when they moved to Manitowoc.
Survivors besides his wife are three sons, Alvin and Lynn Dill of Mott, N.D., and Lavern of Detroit Mich.; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Smith and Mrs. Dorothy Goode of Alameda, Calif.; and one step-son, Wilbert Dill of the Town of Liberty; one step-daughter, Ms. Elroy Borgwardt, also of the Town of Liberty; 19 grandchildren. One brother, William Dill of Sheboygan; and three sisters, Mrs. Edwin Stock of Sheboygan, and Mrs. Emma Woldt and Mrs. William Grosshuesch, both of
Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Salem Ebenezer and Reformed Church in the Town of Newton with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. N.C. Hoeflinger, pastor, will officiate. Friends may call at the Urbanek-Schlei Funeral Home, 818 State St., Manitowoc, from 3 p.m. Sunday until 10 a.m. Monday and then at the church until the time of service.
