Elsie Wilhelmina Ball age 96, passed away on January 23, 2014.

She was born in Tucson October 14, 1917. She was devoted to her husband of 61 years, Carl Ball, who died in 2003.

Married in Tucson, they moved to California where Carl became a vice-president of the Southern Pacific Company. The San Francisco Asian influence piqued her interest in a life-long love for Oriental objects. While there she became active in the Eastern Star.

After Carl's retirement they returned to Tucson where family and friends lived. She will be remembered for her appreciation and enjoyment of all things beautiful, her humor and her love for her family.

Elsie is survived by one daughter, Elaine Sabin (Rubin); two granddaughters, Aliza Sabin, of Scottsdale, and Natanya Washburn (Michael), of Norwalk, CT; three Washburn great-grandchildren, Carlin, Ayla and Ezekiel; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 27, 2014 at the Desert Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1200 N. Santa Rosa Avenue, Tucson. Interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
