William J. Abell, 82, of Brodbecks, Pa, died Wednesday morning at Hanover General Hospital.
He was the son of the late William and Lucy Martin Abell.
He is survived by a brother Charles, 313 S. Washington St., Gettysburg, sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Speelman of Biglerville and Mrs. Marie Chamberlain, 35 Chambersburg St., Gettysburg.
He was a retired battlefield guide and was a veteran of World War I.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Hanover, with Rev. Robert C. Gribbin officiating.
Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Hanover.
