Stanley G. Hamilton, 65, passed away April 6, 2010 at his home. Stanley was born September 3, 1944 in Des Moines to Glenn and Gladys (Stevens) Hamilton. He graduated from Tech High School in 1962, where he lettered in wrestling. Stanley served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Bryce Canyon and was honorably discharged in December of 1972. He worked for West Park LTD and Pacesetter Company. Stanley is survived by his son, Eddie (Shawn) Hamilton; grandchildren, Tristan Hamilton and Nick Olson; brother, Jim (Kay) Hamilton; brother-in-law, Jim Jones; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great- nephews; and his cat, Lady. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Shirley Jones. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2010 at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 N.W. 60th Ave. followed by burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.
