Leslie and I went to high school together, and later worked together. What I remember about Leslie was his sense of humor and his kindness. He never made fun of others or put people down. After his death, I wrote his mother a letter telling her what a great guy her son was. She wrote back and said that Leslie's dad died when he was eight, and it was just the two of them from then on, and what a wonderful son he was. Leslie was an electronic technician, and when we worked together, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Leslie knew a lot about tomatoes - isn't that something for me to remember after all this time? But he did! He knew how to create hybrid tomatoes. I often stop at his grave as he is right by the drive at the cemetery where my father is buried - and now after all these years, my mother is there also. Leslie was, to put it simply, a nice boy. He attended youth groups at his church, according to his mother.

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one.
