---Alice Leona Foster, 87, died January 21, 2014 at Woodhaven Care Center, Ellinwood. She was born October 7, 1926 at Bazine, the daughter of Solomon and Molly (Scheck) Popp. She married Marion Foster March 12, 1946 at Hoisington. He died July 7, 1992.
---A Great Bend resident since 1950 coming from McCracken, Mrs. Foster was a bookkeeper for several businesses in Great Bend.
---She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and the Kansas Women’s Bowling Association. She was an avid bowler, and enjoyed traveling, fishing, and dancing.
---Survivors include two sons, Marion Foster, Bessmer, Alabama; and Ronald Foster, Green Valley, Arizona; a sister, Velma Boepple, Weatherford, Oklahoma; three brothers, Richard Popp, Midland, Texas; Lavern Popp, St. Joseph, Missouri; and William Popp, Hoisington; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin Popp.
---Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Bryant Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Sweany officiating. Interment will be at McCracken Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday, January 24, 2014 at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
