He was a 52 year member of the First United Methodist Church in Princeton where he was the former Church Treasurer and previously served on both the Administrative Board and the Board of Trustees. He also served as caretaker of the chimes for 26 years.
He was a 50 year member of the Princeton Rotary club and the Princeton Masonic Lodge 134 AF & AM. He was a past president of the Princeton Chamber of Commerce and served on the Princeton Parking Commission.
He was elected several terms to the Princeton City Council and also served as Mayor of Princeton. He was a former member of the Princeton Community Hospital Board of Directors and currently served as an honorary member of that board.
He was very active in the Salvation Army Senior Program and an avid HAM Radio Operator with a call sign W8GCZ. For many years he shared his knowledge and taught his skill of amateur radio operation to numerous people in this area.
Survivors include one son, Emory J. "Buddy' Reaser and his wife Kay of Jacksonville, Florida; one daughter, Rosanna Reaser of Princeton and Radford, Virginia; one grandson, Michael Howard Reaser of Atlanta, Georgia; two sisters, Mary Cary of Lewisburg and Alma, Ridout of Richmond, Virginia and sister-in-law, Artie Reaser of St. Albans.
