"Chester Otto 'Red' Douglas was the son of John William and Mary Ann (Whitt) Douglas, and was born in Gallatin, Mo. He married Muriel Smith on September 3, 1932, and they were the parents of four children.

He is survived by his wife of the home, two daughters, Cindy (Richard) Bonesack and Mary (Larry) Lentz, both of Brookfield; two sons, Jack Douglas of St Louis and Bill Douglas of Fresno, California; 12 grandchildren; four sisters and three brothers.

Mr. Douglas was a barber for 40 years. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Brookfield, Mo., the Elks, and Masonic Order No. 86, AF & AM." Written by Judy Youngs Woody
