James William WEBB was born to Thomas WEBB (b.~1862 in Viney hill, Gloucestershire, Engl) and Elizabeth JONES (b.~1878 in Yorkley, West Dean, Gloucester, Engl) and upon her death, Thomas married her sister Emma JONES. James Wm was born in Yorkley Slade, North Lydney, Gloucestershire, England. He had brothers Joseph Elias, John and Samuel Jabez and sisters Ruth, Doris and Bernice Elizabeth as well as brothers Thomas Leonard and Victor. James married Ellen Sophia GILBERT at Pontlottyn Church in South Wales on 3-5-1905 and had five daughters all born in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales: Elizabeth Ellen (PARKER), Bernice Louisa (JAMES), Doris (BURGHAM), Lily Brenda (FREY) and Edith Gertrude (HARMER). In 1927, a couple months prior to his wife and daughters, James immigrated to the US on the SS Olympia from South Hampton to NY and settled in Nanticoke, PA working as a coal miner. Later in life he and his wife settled in Youngstown, Ohio along with a couple of daughters. He attended church every Sunday and loved to fish, woodwork and mechanics. Black lung disease caused right heart failure and James passed away at home in 1946 at the age of 61.
