Deer Lodge, April 22-The funeral of Mrs. Josephine Anna Bowman, who died here Friday at St. Joseph's hospital, will be held tomorrow. The deceased was the first wife of ex-Senator Thomas M. Bowen of Colorado, who recently died at Denver. They were married at Morristown, Illinois, Jan. 31, 1857. To them was born a son, Louis Payne Bowen, who was a newspaper writer and for several years edited and published the New Northwest in this city. He was accidentally killed by a train in the eastern part of the state about nine years ago.
Mrs. Bowen was past 70 years of age and of late had been feeble. A sister of Mrs. Bowen's recently died in California and was the only near relative she had living. Mrs. Bowen was a woman of great natural ability, although of a quiet and retiring disposition.
