Carl served in the US. Army and retired from the former C. H. Masland & Sons, Carlisle after more than 25 years of service as truck driver. He was a member of the Haines – Stackfield American Legion Post 826, Carlisle.
He is survived by his wife, Mary L. (Giles) Baltimore Bell, one son, Carl W. Bell, III of Wormleysburg, two daughters; Stacey L. Tippitt of Harrisburg and Robin N. Bell of Carlisle, one step-son and one step-daughter, both of Ithaca, NY, three sisters; Carol Smith of Chambersburg, Roberta Davis of Carlisle and Nancy Hodge of Shippensburg, two brothers; Carroll Johnson of Martinsburg, WV and Rodney Norman of Chambersburg, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Carl was predeceased by his first, Sandra E. (Hodge) Bell and one son, William Carl Tippitt.
