L illian (McGlew) Taggart, age 85, of Wayne passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2013. She was born Lillian McGlew in 1927 in Holy Name Hospital, Teaneck. Mrs. Taggart graduated St. Joseph's High School in 1944. She met her husband John at the Armagh Men's Ball. They married in 1950 and began their family in the Bronx, moved to North Bergen, NJ and in 1964 moved to Wayne. Mrs. Taggart was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Church.
She was predeceased by her husband John F. Taggart in October 2012. Loving mother of John K. Taggart, Eileen Hikichi, Noreen Taggart, Mary Taggart, Kathleen Taggart, Thomas Taggart, Patricia Taggart and the late James Taggart; beloved mother-in-law of Janet (Linfante) Taggart, Rich Shepard and John "Sean" McArdle; Devoted grandmother of Shawn, Danny, and Christopher Hikichi, Brennan and Macey Rainey, and Jenna and Michael Taggart.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Monday, January 7, 2013 at 8:30 am at the funeral home and the funeral Mass at 9:30 am at Our Lady of the Valley R.C. Church, 630 Valley Rd., Wayne.
Visiting on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-9 pm.
Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa
