Edward J. "Barney" Millettte, 84, 1621 9th Ave S., Escanaba, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2014 at Marquette General Hospital following a massive heart attack.

He was born on September 7, 1929 in L'Anse, son of Edmond and Florence (Dagenais) Millette. The Millette family lived in L'Anse for a brief time and then Sault Ste Marie for five years before moving to Escanaba. Barney graduated from Escanaba High School in 1949.

On October 29, 1955, Barney married Dolores Lobner at the American Martyrs in Kingsford.

He worked for Chicago and Northwestern Railroad, Harnischfeger until their closure, Ed's Building Supply and U.P. State Credit Union until his passing.

Barney enjoying golfing and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and loved sports in general.

He was a member of the Escanaba Country Club, Escanaba Eagles Club, and St. Thomas Church.

Among survivors include his wife, Dolores of Escanaba; son, Raymond (Angie) Millette of Escanaba; brother, Lester (Mary Lou) Millette of Escanaba; grandchildren, Ashley, Dustin, and Connor; great grandchildren, Ryder, Matthew and Evelyn; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Elmer Millette and sister; Mary Jane Hayon.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, January 23rd at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas Church with Rev. Rick Courier officiating. A meal will immediately follow in the church hall. Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Crawford Funeral Home with Eagles ritual at 3 p.m. Visitation will conclude at 4 p.m.

Entombment will be in Gardens of Rest Mausoleum.
