Gladys Irene Vail
April 25, 1905 to Nov. 21, 1994

Gladys Irene Vail, 89, of Nevada died of a stroke at Colonial Manor of Zearing.

Fail was born in rural Roland to Gusta and Osten (Jacobson) Molde. She was a lifelong resident of Story County and a homemaker. She married E. Frank Vail on Dec. 27, 1923 in Roland.

She was a member of the Memorial Lutheran Church, Nevada, and participated in many church and community activities. Her hobbies and interest included: an avid reader, enjoyed handwork, gardening, cooking and bridge.

She is survived by one daughter, Rue Ann and her husband John Sams of Ames; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frank in October 1985, five sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 25, at 11 a.m. at Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada with Pastor Forrest E. Chaffee officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Memorial Lutheran Church. Memorial contributions have been established.

Gladys Irene Vail, 89, of Nevada died of a stroke at Colonial Manor of Zearing.
