Memorial to the wife of a Confederate soldier, Pvt. Franklin Cauble, Co J "Stanly Rebels", 52nd NC Infantry Regiment who was captured during the Petersburg, VA campaign, sent to the Union prison for Confederate soldiers in Elmira, New York and who died there of disease on 28 Oct 1865.

Elizabeth and Franklin were married in Albemarle, Stanly County, NC on 11 Aug 1851.

Elizabeth is the mother of William Charles Cauble and the grandmother of Abbie Alexander Cauble who are buried in the Bethlehem Cemetery.

Location of her grave is unknown but probably in Stanly County, NC.
