Mr. Bailey, 75, of Gary, Indiana passed away Sunday, November 13, 2005, at Methodist Northlake Hospital, Gary. He was born December 17, 1929, in Madison, MS, to Omelia Nicholson. He was united in holy matrimony to Queen Esther Bailey. McKinley, a Korean War Veteran, served his country in the U.S. Marines from 1948 to 1951. He was employed by US Steel, Gary Works. Mr. Bailey was preceded in death by his mother, Omelia Nicholson, and brothers, Jessie and Cleveland Nicholson. He left to cherish his loving memory his most devoted wife, Queen E. Bailey of Gary; 2 sons, Edward (Gloria) Bailey of Gary, Joseph (Lucy) Bailey of San Diego, CA; 3 brothers, Grover (Judy) Bouldin of Jackson, MS, Cleaotha Sanders of Gary, and Roosevelt Nicholson of Jackson, MS; grandchildren, Devon Johnson of Gary, IN, Monique and Edward Bailey Jr. of California, Roslyn and David Wilson of Gary, IN; goddaughters, Diana Meadows, Cheryl Williams- McClaine, Tracy Wilson, Deloris Barnes, Tina Cobbs, and Regina Johnson, all of Gary, IN; and a host of other family, relatives and friends. Visitation was held November 21 and funeral services November 22 at the Serenity Gardens Funeral Home, 934 E. 21st Ave., Gary, IN 46407, 219-886-8300, with Pastor Obadiah Wilson officiating.
